A total-data plan generally provides one allowance for its specified validity period. A daily-data plan allocates data under its daily rules. Check the plan for reset times, time zone and whether unused data carries over; do not assume that it resets at midnight in your phone's current location. Unlimited plans can still have fair-use, speed or network-management conditions. Unlimited data does not automatically mean unrestricted speed. Review what happens after any specified usage threshold. Compare the data amount, validity and data type together. The same numeric allowance can mean different things in a total-data plan and a daily plan.
